DESCRIPTION:Lunch & Learn - Crafting your Press Release\n\n\n\nThis session would suit SME's\, Sole Traders & Start-ups who are trying to be jack of all trades and do their own social media\, marketing\, press releases until they get big enough to hire someone to do it.\n\nDeanna will give an overview of the following in the workshop: \n\n- what to write a press release about \n\n- how to format a press release \n\n- how to approach media\n\n- how to figure out what to spend money on if you're going to put some budget towards marketing or digital marketing (and what NOT to)\n\n- what you can cheaply and easily do yourself with just your phone and some free online tools \n\nDeanna O'Connor is a freelance media professional with broad experience across publishing\, digital media\, broadcast and events. She regularly writes for clients including the Business Post\, IDA Ireland and Chambers Ireland. She also hosts workshops and webinars for a variety of corporate clients on topics including public speaking\, presentation skills and personal branding. \n\nIn her previous role as Group Head of Content at Business & Finance Media Group\, she reshaped the publishing and digital strategy\, spearheading a pivot to video content and managing the publication of the company's first book. Prior to this she worked with Virgin Media TV (then TV3)\, creating brand extensions for one of their flagship shows. Ms. O'Connor holds a BSc in International Business & Languages and a H. Dip in Journalism & Media Communications.
