The course is aimed at people who wish to become qualified Manual Handling instructors\n\nCourse Content:\n\nDay 1: Legislation Requirements\, Health Benefits and Introduction to Risk Management.\n\nDay 2: Anatomy\, Back Care\, Manual Handling Principles and Technique.\n\nDay 3: Ergonomic Principles and Risk Assessment\n\nDay 4: Planning and Design of Manual Handling Training Programmes\n\nDay 5: Assessment in Presentation\, Theory & Practice\n\nCourse Requirements:\n\nParticipants must be physically able to participate in practical element of the course. The practical element of the course includes lifting\, pushing and pulling items as per a standard manual handling training course.\n\nLearning Outcome:\n\nParticipants on successful completion of this course will receive a QQI Level 6 qualification in Manual Handling Instruction.
