Green Opportunities in the Mid-West

We are delighted to announce our Green Opportunities in the Mid-West event, which will take place on the 10th Feb 2023 from 10am -12pm in the City View/Harris Suite of Limerick Strand Hotel. This event has kindly been sponsored by Limerick Chamber Skillnet. Limerick Chamber Skillnet provide expert training and offer subsidies for businesses seeking training and upskilling. 

With so many initiatives implemented recently due to the green agenda and Ireland's commitment toward green/renewable energy, we have compiled an event showcasing potential growth areas or supporting areas for businesses in the Mid-West to pivot/adapt in order to harness the opportunities available and grow their business.  

We are delighted to welcome our panel of speakers:

• Barry O’Sullivan - Chairman of the Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce. Mr O'Sullivan will provide a breakdown on the taskforce vision and goals, as well as the timelines of key initiatives being driven or suggested by the taskforce.
• Marie Gleeson of Simply Blue Group will discuss coastal and manufacturing opportunities.
• Jerry Hallissey of Shannon Foynes Port Company will discuss Port activity, support and facilitate trade statistics, employment and masterplan.
• Pat McCormack - ICMSA President will discuss Biomethane production/Solar/Wind
