Professor Stephen Kinsella Imagines Opportunities & Threats Ahead for Limerick
On Wednesday 24th October, Network Ireland Limerick will host an exciting event with Stephen Kinsella, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Limerick, in the Savoy Hotel, Limerick. Professor Kinsella will encourage attendees to change their mindset about land as he sets out the opportunities and threats for our city and region in 30 years time.
Professor Kinsella will pose vital questions about some of the choices we’re making or not making today and their potential implications on how we will live in the future.
Speaking about this upcoming event, Professor Kinsella, said, “Limerick is changing very rapidly. Imagine a Limerick City with 500,000 people living in the city. What might that look like in 2050? What changes in population, in the structure of the economy, in the ways people live, might we expect? What can we do to get ready for this possible future? I will consider these issues at the event and what might happen if we make the wrong choices now. For one, we need to change how we think about land.”
This event is FREE for Network Ireland Limerick Members and Non-Members.
