About Us

Limerick Enterprise Development Partnership (LEDP) is an organisation synonymous with Limerick’s transformation over the past 20 years. A unique model: a commercial property which uses its funds to invest in impactful community projects – as co-signatory of the Limerick Charter, it is rightfully held as a crucial actor in Limerick. A multi-stakeholder local partnership, LEDP provides a critical mass of economic activity and community-based services to support inclusive growth on top of its direct investment in the community. The partnership is a European best in class example of a community-led development and is unique in an Irish context.
There are now over 1,000 direct jobs supported on the original site, a doubling of the original goal of replacing all of the 500 lost jobs with the devastating closure of the Krups factory in 1998. In addition, there are over 250 training and upskilling places filled annually at LEDP by various partners. Notwithstanding the opening of Ireland’s first co-working space in a designated Regeneration area last year, Spark Hub, through its diverse activities and its many partnerships LEDP connects people to opportunities based on the principal of ‘helping people to help themselves’. The LEDP Campus has further accelerated its progress into a hive of entrepreneurial and innovative activities over the past 3 years, coinciding with the launch of its strategy plan ‘20 Outcomes by 2026’.
